The most sought out exotic food and drink bar that is living up to its name is Elephant Bar. Serving the adventurous taste of the Safari with an elephant-sized dinner, both plates and drinks are huge in size and in flavor. They offer appetizers such as the Wok-Seared Pan Asian Chicken and Lettuce Wrap, which comes with stir-fried chopped chicken, mouth-watering chestnuts, roasted cashews and toasted coconut flakes, and is served with tropical fruit and (my favorite) salsa with marinated cucumbers and crisp chilled lettuce. You yourself wrap it up your own way and style-and that’s just one of the tasty appetizers Elephant Bar has to serve.
I myself enjoyed the Braised Lamb Shanks, which could possibly be the very best. This dish included two large fork tender Lamb Shanks in a Sauce of Roasted Garlic, Tomatoes and Rosemary, along with fresh Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Sautéed Vegetables. The experience was just unbelievably satisfying.
My friend preferred a variety of a meat and seafood dinner, so she ate the Tri-Tip Sirloin and BBQ Shrimp, which was U.S.D.A. Choice Sirloin, fire-grilled and sliced to order with Grilled Onions and Fresh Mushrooms, accompanied with Kona BBQ Shrimp, fire grilled and double basted. The dish was served with White Steamed Rice, with Ranch Beans and Salsa, which she adored very much.
But what truly impressed us both after such a delightful tasty dinner was the infamous popular Jungle Colada, including Pineapple Juice, Ice Cream, Coconut, Passion Raspberry, and Cream, and mixed into Whaler’s Dark and White Rum, topped with Whipped Cream and Toasted Coconuts. A taste of exotic drinks truly represents the adventure of exotic taste. Oh, and what’s truly cool about the Jungle Colada is that it can be served with alcohol or without. Elephant Bar is definitely a place for the entire family or a great place to take a friend or two.
